Wichita State’s Toure Murry hit a three pointer with 3.5 seconds to play to beat Missouri State 62-61.  Spencer Laurie missed a layup the other way as time expired giving the Shockers the win.

The Bears best shooting effort of the season was wasted after nailing 58% from the field and 69% from three, but it was poor free throw shooting (10 of 19) including four missed free throws in the final 3:25 that allowed Wichita State to come back.

The Bears, who led 31-29 at halftime, blew their second halftime lead in as many games and were outrebounded 30-20 with 16 turnovers.  The Bears were up by seven, 58-51 with just over four minutes to play, but MSU would not hit another field goal the rest of the night.

The Bears return home Saturday at 7:05 p.m. against Indiana State (5-19, 3-10) on Great Southern Bank panoramic poster night.
