Two infant corpses discovered in Cass Co.; man charged with rape, incest and murder

January 23, 2009 By admin Leave a Comment

A Cass County man is charged with second-degree murder, endangering the welfare of a child, statutory rape, incest and abandoning a corpse after the remains of two infants were found in sealed coolers.

The man told authorities he had four children — three of which are dead — with his now 19-year-old daughter and that he began molesting her when she was 13.

County Prosecutor Teresa Hensley says he’s only been charged with one of the deaths so far. Authorities allege that the man began molesting his daughter when she was 13.

Authorities are still looking into the death of a third infant, believed to be in Oklahoma.

Hensley says the family was transient, living in a trailer and the remains were found on the Cass County property where they once lived.

His wife is also charged with endangering the welfare of a child for not reporting the alleged sexual abuse of the daughter.

Both suspects names are being withheld since they might identify the victim of a sex crime.
