January 21, 2009 By admin Leave a Comment

Pat Shurmur On Monday, Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo said he would be patient in putting together his coaching staff.  One day later, he named  Eagle’s quarterback coach Pat Shurmur as his offensive coordinator.

It’s also being reported in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that Spagnuolo could name his defensive coordinator as early as today.  That’s expected to be Carolina linebackers coach Ken Flajole who was an assistant as Mizzou from 89 to 93.

Offensive coordinator Al Saunders was let go, and he’s interviewing with Oakland.  The Rams have asked permission to interview Minnesota special teams coach Paul Ferraro.
