Jimmy Gobble Jimmy Gobble was roughed up against Detroit, allowing 10 runs in one inning back in July, but he is good against left handed hitters and the Royals avoided arbitration by signing Gobble to a one year deal.

Gobble will make $1.35 million this season and could make an extra $50,000 in bonuses.  The 27 year old was 0-2 with that inflated 8.81 ERA in 31.2 innings.  He’s strong against lefties who only hit .200, but righties beat him up hitting .382.

Brian Bannister, Zack Greinke, John Buck, Mike Jacobs, Mark Teahen, and Joel Peralta remain with arbitration cases.
