Three Missouri schools crack D-II top 20 rankings

January 14, 2009 By admin Leave a Comment

Central Missouri jumps to 19 th after not being ranked last week.  They’re 12-2 on the season.  Missouri Southern slips a spot to 13th with a 15-3 record, and Southwest Baptist, number two last weeks falls to 5th after suffering a loss at Washburn.

The Lions will play again this weekend when they take on MIAA newcomer Nebraska-Omaha.  Tonight, the Bearcats travel to Omaha where 6’11 center Matt Rogers leads SBU.  He’s been dominating the league.  He has the highest scoring average, the most blocked shots per game at 4.5, and he is fourth in the league in three point shooting.

The Mules are on the road at Northwest Missouri State to take on a Bearcat squad who has struggled in league play.
