Severe weather hits Missouri

December 27, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

No injuries were reported as severe weather rolled through parts of Missouri on Saturday.

The National Weather Service issued tornado warnings as several twisters reportedly touched down in the eastern part of the state. Damage was reported to buildings in a number of communities in northeastern Missouri.

As tornado warnings and watches were in effect in parts of the state, other regions experienced thunderstorms and strong winds. That severe weather knocked out electricity to tens of thousands of homes and businesses throughout Missouri.
