It’s a five year prison sentence for a Gerald man who posed as a federal agent – pretending to be a Drug Enforcement Administration agent, a U.S. marshal, and an agent for a multijurisdictional task force.

36-year-old William Jakob entered into a plea deal with prosecutors, admitting he waved guns while entering private homes and even handcuffed some of the residents.

Jakob’s case gained national attention when he agreed to be interview by "60 Minutes" for a segment that aired last month. He claimed to have gotten an adrenalin rush from his drug busts.
