Arena football will cancel 2009 season

The Arena Football League Board of Directors will suspend the 2009 season subject to agreement and cooperation with the Arena Football League Players Association while the League works on developing a long-term plan to improve its economic model.

For the time being, the Kansas City Brigade will shut down operations.  Some big time names are owners or part-owners of teams.  Jon Bon Jovi is owner of the Philadelphia Soul who won Arena Bowl 22.  Mike Ditka, former Bears coach is part owners of Chicago’s team, Rush.
