Big 12 preview from Arrowhead

December 6, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

Click to hear Bill's field report from Arrowhead I was on the field at Arrowhead to check out the conditions and to see how the turf would hold up this game compared to last week’s game against KU.  I was surprised to find out there wasn’t much grass on the field at all.

In fact Missouri Director of Athletics Mike Alden said to me and Steve Walsh, "there’s not much grass out there boys…it’s all paint."  He was right.  There is virtually no grass left on the field.  The ground is hard, but traction should be alright.  Game time temperatures will be below freezing starting at 31.  The wind will be swirling at about 8 miles per hour, much weaker than about three before kickoff.
