The No. 7 Lindenwood Lions will travel to Helena, Mont. this week for a NAIA Football Championship Series Semifinal contest. The Lions will take on a Carroll team that is the currently the top program in the NAIA. The Fighting Saints have won five of the last six national championships, including the 2007 title, and enter the game with a 27-game winning streak.

Lindenwood is averaging over 40 points a game, including almost 50 in the postseason. Carroll is allowing just 11.7 points a contest, and has the third-ranked run defense which gives up just 72.1 yards.

Lindenwood advanced to the semifinals after a 34-31 road victory last week at Morningside. Ben Kisner led the Lions on a 34 second, 64-yard drive to set up the game-winning field goal by Halley Ferrell. The defense forced the only two turnovers in the game which led to 14 points for Lindenwood.
