November 30, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

The Kansas City Chiefs put together a long 16 play scoring drive that started from their own nine yard line that put the Chiefs up 17-10 early in the 4 th quarter en route to a 20-13 win at Oakland over their rival Raiders.

Larry Johnson scored from two yards out to put KC up, then Brandon Flowers recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff.  Conner Barth hit his second field goal of the game and the Chiefs opened up a 20-10 lead.

Oakland added a late field goal, but the Chiefs were able to get a first down and run out the clock to preserve the win.   The Raiders tied the game early in the 3 rd quarter when Chiefs QB Tyler Thigpen was picked off.  Oakland returned the pick down to the one yard line and went in on the next play.

Thigpen finished 15 of 22 for 162 yards and no TDs.  Larry Johnson grinded out 92 yards on 24 carries with the go ahead score.   Tony Gonzalez had 8 catches for 110 yards.  Gonzalez has the most receptions for any receiver against Oakland.
