If the Missouri State volleyball team wanted a shot at the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Title, they had to do what no other team had done this entire season:  they had to beat Wichita State.  And that’s exactly what they did.

The Shockers came into the match 29-0, but the Bears got out to a quick two games to none lead, winning 25-23 and 25-17.  The Shockers came right back, acting every bit of the ninth ranked team in the country, winning game three 25-16 and game four 25-22.

Both teams got to the necessary 15 points in the decisive game five, but it was Mizzou St. that got the next two points for the game and the match.

They will now move on to the championship game, taking on Northern Iowa at 7 tonight.
