Water rates rising for many Missourians

November 15, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

Water from the tap isn’t free and its price is going up, at least for many Missourians.

The State Public Service Commission has agreed to allow Missouri-American Water Company to raise rates by $34.5 million a year. The utility had asked for $50 million. Missouri-American serves 466,000 homes in Missouri. Rate hikes could range anywhere from $7 a month to $12.
