Three of the four 6A quarterfinal matchups in high school football will be rematches of District games and all three are toss ups. Then, in the other matchup defending champ Rockhurst plays Blue Springs South.
Hazelwood Central and McCluer North with play on Saturday afternoon. Hazelwood won on a 42 yard field goal with three seconds in their last meeting. Zumwalt West is at Jefferson City. The Capital City Jays beat the Jaguars 56-55 stopping MU commit QB TJ Moe at the goal line to preserve the win after the Jags went for two instead of kicking the tying extra point. Under the old playoff format, Zumwalt would have been eliminated. Under the old format, they probably kick the extra point and play overtime.
