Missouri Ethics Commission drops case against Koster

November 13, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

The Missouri Ethics Commission has dropped its case against Attorney General-elect Chris Koster. A complaint filed in June alleged that Koster, a Democratic state senator, laundered campaign donations through various committees to get around state campaign contribution limits. Those limits that have since been repealed. Koster has denied the charge. The Ethics Commission voted 3-to-1 to move forward with the investigation with two members recusing themselves from the vote. It takes four votes for a case to move forward. Koster defeated Republican Michael Gibbons for Attorney General.
