Tyler Thigpen is beginning to convince me he has the stuff to be a starting quarterback in the NFL.  Thigpen rallied the team late in the fourth quarter with a touchdown pass to Tony Gonzalez, but missed on the two point conversion going for the win as the Chiefs lose 20-19.

Thigpen was 27 of 41 for 366 yards and three touchdowns as he found Tony Gonzalez twice once at the end and the other coming on a 34 yard play that Gonzo broke along the sideline.  The Chiefs led 13-6 at the half, but Phillips Rivers brought San Diego back with a score in the 3 rd quarter and a touchdown pass early in the 4 th quarter to give the Chargers a 20-14 lead.

With 3:00 to play and starting at their own 40, Thigpen completed 7 of his 13 pass attempts and got a crucial pass interference call that gave the Chiefs the ball on the one.  After a run loss put the ball on the three, Thigpen connected with Gonzo to pull the Chiefs to one point with :29 left.

Give credit to Herm Edwards, the Chiefs have nothing to gain by going for the tie with only one win this season.  Thigpen tried to hit Gonzalez for the win, but the ball was knocked away preserving the win for San Diego.
