Missouri S&T broke the 60-point mark for the second
consecutive week — and first time since 1914 — by rolling 666 yards of
total offense in a rout of visiting Southwest Baptist Saturday
afternoon.

S&T quarterback Brad Guidry broke a school record by firing seven
touchdown passes, including three to Jordan Beard covering nine, 40 and
86 yards.  The latter two came just over two minutes apart in the third
quarter that allowed the Miners break open the contest.

The S&T could stand for "score & throw,"  Guidry finished the day by completing 31 of 42 passes for a career-high 437 yards.  As a team, the Miners posted their second-highest yardage output in school history as they have now scored 131 points in their last two contests.

The Miners (6-4) also had a record come from running back David Shields
as his one-yard scoring run was his 12th of the year, breaking the S&T
record for rushing touchdowns in a season.

Southwest Baptist, which ended its season at 5-6, got 118 yards rushing
and 263 passing from quarterback Steven Gachette.
