Missouri Tiger head coach Gary Pinkel has already said this will be an emotional day for him, every Senior Day is, but this one in particular for many reasons, not only on, but off the field.

Pinkel owes a debt of gratitude to this senior class.  They committed to Mizzou when the program was coming off of a 5-6 season.  The facilities that are now one of the best in the country were in the process of being built and still two years away from completion and now they have become apart of the most winning Missouri team in a four year span with 34 victories and counting.

Saturday will also mark what would have been Aaron O’Neal’s senior day.  O’Neal died after voluntary team workouts at Faurot Field on July 12th, 2005 .   The Tigers have not forgotten O’Neal.  There is a black painted A.O. 25 on the grass in front of the bleachers at Memorial Stadium and his locker has stayed in place.  His family will be in attendance.
