Bowe happy with improved Chiefs offense

November 5, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

Dwayne Bowe 2nd year wide receiver Dwayne Bowe said that while the win-loss record doesn’t necessarily reflect it, the Chiefs are improving and getting better every week, especially on offense.  All of this with a team short at the running back position.

Kolby Smith suffered a season ending knee injury on Sunday.  That along with Larry Johnson’s one game suspension for this Sunday at San Diego, leaves the Chiefs with Jamaal Charles and Dantrell Savage in the backfield along with Jackie Battle who was called up from the practice squad.

According to Bowe though, don’t expect to see more of that spread offense.  Even though quarterback Tyler Thigpen likes its and looks more comfortable running the offense and wide receivers like
Bowe who like to catch the ball prefer the spread, he says the coaches still want to run the ball.
