We’ve been talking a lot about Missouri Tiger placekicker Jeff Wolfert lately, but it was Dustin Strickler, a 6-foot-1, 165-pound senior from Missouri Western who kicked the game-winning field goal with six seconds left to cap a 12-point day in the Griffons’ 42-41 win at Central Missouri Saturday.

The 30-yard kick was his third three-pointer in as many tries for the game—all of which came after his school-record string of 61 straight point-after kicks was snapped when the Mules blocked his second attempt of the day.

Strickler made a 32-yard kick right after the blocked PAT late in the opening period, then drilled a career-long 49 yard field goal with 1:52 left in the first half to cut Western’s deficit to 24-19 by the time halftime arrived.
