America’s Got Talent winner Boyd flips for SEMO

October 24, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

Neal Boyd of Sikeston, Mo., a Southeast Missouri State University alumnus and recent winner of the NBC hit television series "America’s Got Talent," will be in Cape Girardeau on Saturday and will take part in the coin flip prior to the Southeast vs. Tennessee State football game.

The coin flip will be just prior to the start of the 1 p.m. homecoming game with nationally ranked Tennessee State. The Tigers, ranked 19th nationally, are 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference. Southeast is 2-5 overall and 0-3 in the OVC.

Now that they have someone to flip the coin, SEMO officials are frantically trying to find someone to sing the National Anthem!

OK, that’s a joke, but seriously, he can’t sing because he is under contract with the people from the show and he can only sing in Las Vegas.
