Chiefs RB Johnson under investigation

October 21, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

Chiefs running back Larry Johnson is being investigated for allegedly spitting a drink in a woman’s face at a nightclub, the fourth time in five years he’s been accused of assaulting a woman.

Kansas City police are looking into a report of nonaggravated assault against Johnson for telling a woman that he was going to kill her boyfriend then spit in her face at a nightclub on Oct. 10.

In 2003, he was charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor domestic battery for waving a gun during an argument with a former girlfriend at his home. The charges were dropped when Johnson agreed to participate in a domestic violence diversion program.

Johnson also had a run-in 2005 after a woman  accused him of pushing her to the ground at another bar.  That charges were dropped after the woman failed to appear in three court hearings.

Just last week, the story came out that he shoved a woman at a night club back in February.  Johnson says the woman was being overly aggressive.

Sources close to the NFL say it is possible the league could hand down a suspension for violating the NFL’s conduct policy.  You think?  I understand innocent until proven guilty, but Johnson needs to keep out of bars and nightclubs and keep his hands off women.

It could be another example of an NFL player who’s got the world in his hands, yet can’t control his actions.
