Chiefs not holding out much hope for Gonzalez deal

October 13, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

The Kansas City Chiefs are looking for a third round draft pick in exchange for All-pro tight end Tony Gonzalez.  With that high of a demand, the team feels it is highly unlikely they will get a deal done before Tuesday’s deadline.

The New York Giants have expressed interest in Gonzalez, but would only be willing to offer a sixth round pick.  The Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills have also expressed an interest as well.

It was Gonzalez who approaced the rebuilding Chiefs about a trade so that the 32 year old has a possibility of playing not only for a playoff contender, but a Superbowl contender.
