Jackson County sex torture murderer sentenced to death

October 11, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

A man convicted in the murder and sexual torture of Marsha Spicer and the kidnapping, rape, torture, and assault of Michelle Huff-Ricci has been sentenced to death by a Jackson County judge.

In August, the jury had unanimously recommended that 44-year-old Richard Davis be put to death for his crimes. Friday, Circuit Judge Marco Roldan went along with that recommendation, despite the pleas from the defense that Davis be sentenced to life in prison without parole.

In April and May of 2006, Davis and his girlfriend Dena Riley recorded videos of themselves torturing these women during forced sex. Riley also faces capital murder charges and is scheduled for trial next spring.
