On Friday, October 10, 2008, the University of Missouri Department of Athletics will officially rename the third floor of the Memorial Stadium Press Box the "Robert M. ‘Bob’ LeMone Club Level and Tiger Lounge" in memory of Mr. LeMone. A special invitation-only dedication will take place on Friday night.

A founding partner of Little Dixie Construction in Columbia, LeMone was a real estate developer in Columbia and Boone County for more than 40 years. Little Dixie Construction served as contractor for numerous local projects, including MBS Textbook Exchange. LeMone passed away last spring after a courageous battle with cancer.

On his behalf, MBS Textbook Exchange, Inc. has donated funds to endow the Robert M. ‘Bob’ LeMone and MBS Textbook Exchange, Inc. Student-Athlete Scholarship Endowment. The donation is to be used exclusively for the betterment of the University of Missouri football program.

"Bob was a special member of the Mizzou Family and we are proud to be able to dedicate this area in his memory," Missouri Athletics Director Mike Alden said. "Bob enjoyed game days at Memorial Stadium and could often be found in the Tiger Lounge visiting with family and friends. It seems only fitting that this area of the Sports Park at Mizzou bear his name."

LeMone attended the University of Missouri in the early 1960’s played football at Mizzou under Dan Devine.
