The University of Central Missouri Mules will host the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats in one of five nationally televised Division II men’s basketball games this season. The contest will be at the UCM Multipurpose Building on Feb. 21 at 11:00 a.m. on the CBS College Sports Network.

Approximately 20 million viewers will have access to the game and it will be the first ever nationally televised game broadcast from Warrensburg.

This will be the Mules second nationally televised game in the last three seasons, after playing in the NCAA Division II Final Four live on CSTV against Winona State in 2007 from Springfield, Mass. The Mules went a school record 31-4 and led the nation in attendance that season at 3,640 fans per game.

The Mules and Bearcats are the two winningest programs in the MIAA over the past five years (Mules are 61-27, Bearcats are 60-28 in MIAA play), and the Mules are the second winningest NCAA Division II basketball program in the nation, garnering 1,469 wins in 103 seasons.

The Feb. 21 game will be the second meeting between the two schools this season with the Mules heading to Maryville for a Jan. 14 contest at Bearcat Arena.
