Jake Delhomme will try to pick apart Chiefs secondary The Carolina Panthers are 3-1 this season in what has almost become a must-win season for their longtime head coach John Fox.  So far, they lead the NFC South and are ready for the Chiefs running game.

The Panthers won at San Diego to start the season, came from behind to win against Chicago,  lost at Minnesota and then put together a very impressive 24-9 win against Atlanta where quarterback Jake Delhomme was named the NFC offensive player of the week.

John Fox and Herm Edwards started in the San Diego State secondary together back in 1976 and both are known for their defensive coaching styles.  Fox’ Panthers have faced some talented running backs this year in LT from San Diego, Adrian Peterson from Minnesota and now this week, Larry Johnson.

Stopping LJ is the Panther’s number one priority.  Kevin McCreary, the assistant sports director of the South Carolina Radio Network talks with me about this week’s matchup between the Chiefs and Carolina.
