Edwards knocked out of last year's race at Kansas Greg Biffle returns to the Kansas Speedway this weekend, this race’s defending champ and riding a two race win streak heading into the third Sprint Cup Chase race.  Carl Edwards will look to hold off Rousch-Fenway teammate Biffle and Jimmie Johnson for the Sprint Cup points lead who trail Edwards by 10 points.

NASCAR.com reports that Biffle is the first driver to open the Chase with two consecutive wins, which has him in position to become the first driver to win a title in all three of NASCAR’s top three series. He won the Craftsman Truck Series championship in 2000 and followed it with a then-Busch Series title in 2002.

Last year, Edwards suffered tough luck on lap 176 when Tony Stewart spun out and took Edwards with him.  Carl ended up 37 th

Also, Joplin native Jamie McMurray returns closet to home with what he calls and "unbelievably fast car," but McMurray has been unable to turn that fast car into better results, having only six top 10 finishes this year.

Saturday:  Nationwide qualifying at 9:35am, racing at 2:30pm
Sunday: Sprint Cup driver intros at 12:30, racing at 1:00pm
