Zach Greinke pitched seven shut out innings allowing just four hits and two walks as the Royals continue to out play the Tigers with a 5-0 win.

The Royals started the season well in Detroit with a sweep and now go for the sweep here at the end of the season as both teams are tied for fourth in the American League Central.

Greinke got help before he even took the mound when Mike Aviles homered off Tigers’ starter Freddie Garcia who was making just his second start of the year.  The Royals continued to tee off on Garcia as Ryan Shealy went deep in the fourth with a solo shot and then Alex Gordon followed later in the inning with one on to make the score 4-0.

That was all Greinke would need as he picked up his 13th win of the year.  Greinke only struck out four, but he raised his total to 183 which is good for fourth in the American League.
