Former State Representative Sherman Parker (R-St. Charles) has died of a brain aneurysm at the age of 37.
Missouri Republican Party Communications Director Tina Hervey confirms Parker was taken to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, where he was declared brain-dead at approximately 8:50 pm Thursday night.
Parker was elected to the Legislature in 2002 and represented the 12th District in the Missouri House of Representatives until 2006, when he unsuccessfully challenged Congressman Todd Akin in the Republican Primary in 2006. Parker’s organs are being donated.
