Zack Greinke pitched well, allowing only one unearned run over his six innings of pitching and Miguel Olivo drove in a run with a double and went 3 for 4, but Olivo’s throwing error allowed Texas to go ahead in the KC loss.

Rangers starter Kevin Millwood pitched a complete-game victory and both runs that his teammates scored were unearned. The end result was the Royals’ 16th loss in their last 19 games.

With the score tied at one in the eighth, Ramon Ramirez walked leadoff hitter Milton Bradley and then Hank Blalock hit a tapper in front of the plater that Olivo had to hurry to make a great play.  Instead, he threw wildly past first basemen Ross Gload allowing the pinch runner for Bradley to come all the way around to score.

Manager Trey Hillman talks about Millwood’s decision and Greinke talks about his outing.
