Fritz’ Mules have no time to catch their breathe

August 26, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

The MIAA conference which features several D-II schools in Missouri is arguably the toughest conference in the country.  Willie Fritz had his team one game away from a playoff berth, and is hoping for more this season.

The MIAA has three teams ranked in the top 25 and the Mules finished with a 7-4 record losing an overtime game to Pittsburg State and by two points to champion runner-up Northwest Missouri State.

The Mules bring back 11 players on offense and 12 from defense that started at least one game and Fritz thinks that’s enough to make this team a contender again for a playoff spot.
