Royals drop seventh straight

August 24, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

Kyle Davies pitched, OK, no real damaged allowed, but the Royals lost their seventh straight as the Tigers beat the Royals 4-0.  The only exciting part of the game came when Miguel Cabrera sent a shot to the construction zone in left field.

Other than that monster bomb by Cabrera who hit his third homer in two games, the Tigers scored their first three runs on sacrifice flies off Davies who is now 5-5 on the year.  The Tigers scored single runs in the second inning, and then all three middle innings.

In the meantime, Zach Miner allowed just three singles over seven innings as he and two relievers combined for the shutout.
