David DeJesus tried to score the tying run in the bottom of the 9 th on a wild pitch but was thrown out at the plate and another tough luck loss for the Royals who lose 4-3 to Detroit.
Brian Bannister gets pinned with losing his seventh straight decisions. He went 8 innings giving up four runs on five hits, but two of those were home runs by Miguel Cabrera. That he says was the difference.
More bad news for the Royals. Alex Gordon has a torn muscle in his right leg; he’ll be on the DL a long time. Also lefty set up man Ron Mahay is headed for the DL, problems with his left foot.
