The guessing game is over as Democratic Attorney General Candidate Margaret Donnelly makes it clear she will ask the Secretary of State’s Office for a recount of the August 5th primary election in which she finished second to Chris Koster.

Unofficial results show Koster ahead by 794 votes – less than a quarter of a percentage point – out of more than 346,000 votes cast. That is the smallest margin of victory in any statewide race in Missouri history.

Any Missouri candidate who loses a race by less than one percent of the votes cast is entitled to request a state-financed recount.
