The Twins scored five runs in the sixth inning on their way to a 7-3 win. The Twins have now moved ahead of the White Sox for first place in the Central Division.Royals’ starter Zach Greinke took the loss to drop to 9-8 on the season. Greinke gave up two runs in the second inning. Meanwhile the Royals managed to get a run in the bottom of the fourth on a solo home run by Miguel Olivo.Mark Teahen drove in two more runs in the bottom of the sixth to cut the lead to four, but Boof Bonser, a former starter for the Twins finished off the inning and pitched two more in relief.Mark Grudzielanek’s year could be over. The 2nd basemen has a torn ligament in his ankle from an injury that he suffered back on August 2nd. He’s rehabbing in San Diego and he’s two weeks away from learning what will happen the rest of this season.
