Daniel Boone National team advances to semifinals today

The Daniel Boone 11-12 year olds out of Columbia, Missouri won their final game of the first round in the Midwest Region of the Little League World Series.  They are still two wins away from making a trip to Williamsport, PA.

The Boone squad beat Kearney Nebraska, 10-7 to finish the first round with a 3-1 record, tied with two other teams.  The region started with six teams and the top four advance to the semifinals Friday and the championship game Saturday which will be televised on ESPN.

Daniel Boone is playing Canyon Lake of South Dakota Friday at 10:30am, a team they beat on Tuesday 17-16 in 9 innings, which was the highest scoring game in the region’s history.
