Chiefs leaving for Chicago

August 7, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

It’s a busy day for the Chiefs as they prepare for their first preseason game with the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.

It will all start with the team leaving camp at 9:15am to board an 11:00am flight to Chicago.  Once there, the team will have lunch at a downtown hotel, before leaving for Soldier field at 3:45 for their 7:00pm kickoff.

I’ll be interested to see a couple of things right away.  First, how will the offensive line play?  Will they open holes for Larry Johnson and the other backs.  I don’t expect to see much of Johnson if anything at all, but if he does play, how is he moving on his foot which was broken last year causing him to miss the last eight games.  Second, Brodie Croyle.  Enough said.  This will be a great test against a tough Bears defense and I would expect Croyle to see most of the first stringers in the first quarter.

Yesterday the Chiefs worked on game day situations…onside kicks, hail mary’s, two point conversions, planned safeties and end of game situations.
