Chiefs defensive tackle and first round draft pick Glenn Dorsey will miss minimal time after suffering a sprained knee that occurred during practice on Saturday.

Head coach Herm Edwards is thinking it will take a week, but it could be longer.  He ran into another lineman during practice.  Dorsey joins fellow first round pick Branden Albert who sprained his foot while scrimmaging on Thursday with the Vikings.

Tank Tyler, a third-round pick in 2007, will replace Dorsey in the starting lineup and Herb Taylor, who appeared in just one game on offense last year as a rookie, has replaced Albert.

Dorsey will miss Thursday game at Chicago, their first preseason game, but they hope he’ll be available the week after against Arizona.
