Representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the State Emergency Management Agency are planning a second trip to Adair County next week to continue evaluating damage from heavy rains and flooding. County presiding commissioner Gary Jones joined officials during yesterday’s tour.

"I was surprised," he said. ’I’ve never seen a road as damaged as much as one up there at sand creek bottom. I mean it was just It was completely destroyed there was no road bed left at all."

County road workers have already started some repair work to the roads, Jones said.
