The Royals lost for the second day in a row by a 5-3 final, but this one may be more costly.    Outfielder Jose Guillen injured his groin and he’s calling the injury serious.

It happened in the 5 th inning when he hit an RBI single to tie the game at two.  He tried to stay in the game and tough it out, but it would prove costly in the 8 th inning.  BJ Upton hit a shallow fly ball to right field that second baseman Mark Grudzielanek could not get too.  Guillen, who was unable to run couldn’t get the ball either and that drew boos from the crowd.  Carl Crawford then delivered a triple driving in two runs and the Rays went on from there.

Manager Trey Hillman was ejected and the teams had to sit through a rain delay.  Grudzielanek finished with three hits, all doubles off Rays’ starter Steve Kazmir.
