Edwin Jackson (6-7) and the Tampa Bay bullpen survived three Royal home runs – all solo shots – to earn a 5-3 victory in Kansas City Friday night.

The three jacks didn’t get much support, as K.C. scratched out just one other hit in the loss.  Billy Butler, John Buck and Ross Gload were the ones responsible for the blasts.

Brian Bannister (7-9) was charged with the loss, allowing three runs on seven hits in five and a third innings.  He remains winless in his last five starts.
