Monroe Die-Cast Bought

July 18, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

A private investment firm in New York bought the Leggett & Platt Aluminum Group, including the Monroe City Division die-casting plant.  The division will again be known as Pace Industries.

Director of Marketing for Pace, John Scott Bull, says much of the current management structure will remain in place and he does not want employees at the Monroe City plant to be concerned.

Pace Industries is based out of Fayetteville, Arkansas and houses 19 manufacturing locations in the US and Mexico, employing more than 3,500 people. The Monroe City plant moulds primarily auto parts, and employs around 225 people.

John Scott Bull and other officials from Pace will visit the Monroe City Division die-casting plant, Monday, to visit with employees and managers, before meeting with community leaders.
