The Royals lost 7-6 to the White Sox after building up a 5-0 lead through the first three innings.  The Royals, never at a loss for finding ways to lose close games, gave up the go ahead run on a balk by Ramon Ramirez.   The Royals are now 0-5 against the Sox this year.

KC got to Javier Vasquez early, who tends to struggle early and that was the case in this game.  Vasquez gave up six runs in the first four innings and pitched into the sixth.

Brian Bannister, despite having the big cushion couldn’t slow down the Sox bats, in particular Carlos Quentin who homered with one on in the fourth and sixth innings off Bannister.

Robinson Tejada got Bannister out of the 7 th inning still in line for the win, but in the 8 th innings, Tejada walked two batters, giving way to Ramon Ramirez who got Jermaine Dye to strike out, but gave up a single to Jim Thome and then balked in Quentin from third base as he stopped in mid stretch.
