Mulder exits after just 16 pitches

July 9, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

The return of Mark Mulder ended before fans could get the back sides into their seats.  Mulder left after just a third of an inning after complaining of shoulder discomfort.

Mulder threw just 16 pitches, five of which were for strikes.  After missing big on a pitch to Chase Utley, he motioned to the bench and was taken out of the game.  Brad Thompson came into replace Mulder.

A further examination will be done on Thursday.
