Mike Parisi walked in the winning run with bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Tigers beat the Cardinals 3-2.  This is the second game in a row Detroit has won in their last at bat.

Gary Sheffield tied the game at two in the bottom of the 9th hitting a solo home run off of Ryan Franklin who was trying to save the game after Albert Pujols drove in the go ahead run with his fourth hit of the day in the top of the 9th.

Pujols didn’t miss a beat in his return the lineup and gave the spark the Cardinals needed as they got runners on base all game, but struggled getting them in, stranding a total of 23 baserunners.

Todd Wellemeyer looked good in his return going five shutout innings giving up four hits and striking out three.
