Steelman announces expansion of MOST scholarships

June 12, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

Sarah Steelman State Treasurer Sarah Steelman (R-MO) has announced what might be another reason to invest in MOST – the Missouri Saving for Tuition 529 College Savings Plan. All four-year public colleges in Missouri will offer MOST scholarships for students.

Steelman says it will be up to Missouri’s 13 public colleges, universities, and trade schools to decide on the number of scholarships and the dollar amounts of these scholarships. A number of these public schools already offer scholarships under the original program instituted by Steelman.

Today’s announcement is of an expansion in the existing program. Each college will be able to set up its own criteria for the scholarships, including academic or income requirements.
