MoDOT worker struck and killed while working on Interstate

A State Transportation Department worker has been killed while working on Interstate-670 in Kansas City. 51-year-old Michael York was checking light poles along I-670 this morning when he began crossing the road and was struck by a semi-truck.

The Drexel native had worked for MoDOT for more than 27 years. He leaves behind a daughter and his parents who live in the Kansas City area.
