This Bud might be for you, but InBev wants to serve it.

After weeks of speculation, the Belgium brewing giant has made a $46.3 billion unsolicited bid for Anheuser-Busch of St. Louis. The bid amounts to $65 cash per share. If completed, it would create an incredibly huge brewer, one that would sell about a fourth of all the beer consumed throughout the world. It would also end Anheuser-Busch 156 year history as an independent company. In a news release, Anheuser-Busch has said its board of directors will "evaluate the proposal carefully and in the context of all relevant factors."

InBev has said it would keep St. Louis as the headquarters of its North American division and would keep all 12 of the Busch breweries open. InBev says it will rename the company to evoke Anheuser-Busch’s heritage.
