The Royals losing streak is at 11.  They got swept by the Twins losing 5-1 Thursday night at Kaufmann Stadium.  The Twins Kevin Slowey pitched his first complete game giving up one run on six hits while striking out six, the lone run coming on a two out hit by Alex Gordon in the 9 th .

Luke Hochevar was the losing pitcher tossing 5 1/3 innings gave up all five runs.  Manager Trey Hillman said that Hochevar is just forcing things, because of the lack of run support.  In his eight starts this year, the Royals have scored only 11 runs.

The Royals made some roster moves to try to shake things up.  Neal Musser the closer at AAA Omaha replaces Leo Nunez who went on the DL.  Kyle Davies was called up, he was 6-2 with an ERA under three.  He’ll replace Brett Tomko who moves to the bullpen and DH Billy Butler send down to Omaha, hitting .263 with one homer.

Manager Trey Hillman talks about Hochevar pressing and David DeJesus believes the locker room is sticking together.
